Nora Rose O’Neill

Nora O’Neill has experience as a commercial litigator with state and federal courtroom experience.

Biography

Nora O’Neill joined the firm in 2007 as a commercial litigator. Ms. O’Neill has litigated civil and criminal matters in state and federal courts and also litigates before arbitration panels. Ms. O’Neill provides litigation and advisory services in banking, securities, oil and gas, employment, construction, intellectual property, unfair competition/trade secrets, family law, personal injury, civil rights and class action cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. Ms. O’Neill also defends citizens in criminal cases in state and federal court. Since 2020, Ms. O’Neill has been a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, representing indigent citizens accused of federal crimes. Ms. O’Neill also serves as an Adjunct Settlement Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma in the Court’s mandatory settlement conference program. Ms. O’Neill graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she served on the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law. Ms. O’Neill graduated from University of Pittsburgh, summa cum laude, with Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Political Science.

  • Representation of Indenture Trustee in default of over $75 million of municipal bonds secured by assisted living facilities, independent living facilities and skilled nursing facilities through SEC Court Monitor.
  • Representations of Indenture Trustees evaluating participation in large public and private offerings.
  • Representation of institutional and individual clients in multiple Securities and Exchange Commission investigations involving allegations of securities fraud and/or aiding and abetting securities fraud.
  • Representation of institutional and individual clients in multiple investigations by the Officer of Comptroller of Currency.
  • Representation of banks in securing court appointment of receivers to manage large multi-family projects, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, independent living facilities and charter schools.

  • Representation of employers seeking to secure injunctive relief and damages from transitioning employees that breached ongoing employment obligations.
  • Representation of minority limited liability company members pursuing derivative claims in both state court and before an arbitration panel.
  • Representation of institutional and individual clients in actions brought in FINRA.
  • Representation of accused citizens for a variety of alleged crimes, including murder, felony assault, fraud, drug cases and others.
