Karen Mintz

Ms. Mintz has a breadth of experience in complex international transactions. Ms. Mintz has worked on LNG floating regasification importation terminal projects in South America, the Middle East and the Caribbean, along with related infrastructure projects as a consultant in our international practice. She is also experienced in project financing and equipment procurement issues related to international projects. Additionally, Ms. Mintz has extensive experience in securities and banking law as well as negotiation of vendor agreements and software licenses. 

Prior to joining Frederic Dorwart, Lawyers PLLC, Ms. Mintz practiced with Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, a national Canadian firm. While at Osler, Ms. Mintz represented corporate clients in a wide variety of civil actions, and in investigations and enforcement proceedings by securities regulators. Ms. Mintz has worked and studied abroad in France and Switzerland and was actively involved in pro bono activities while practicing in Toronto. Ms. Mintz received her J.D. from the University of Toronto, where she was the senior editor of the constitutional law cell of the University of Toronto Law Review and was awarded course prizes for business organizations and family law. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University, where she was the recipient of a scholarship for the highest average attained by a marketing major.
